This week we put the house projects on hold to focus on our baby shower. We chose a Winnie the Pooh theme with a little bit of a vintage vibe and then began the search for items and DIY projects. Once we found our invitations we let those set the mood for the rest of the decor.
We put Joseph to work on a sign for the front porch to welcome our guests. Using materials that were already in our garage he created this Hundred Acre Wood sign:
As a keepsake from the shower, we asked our guests to leave a wish on the pages of our baby book. We set up a table near the front door with the book, some pens, and a few Lenox figurines Kendra’s parents collected over the years.
We loved these little Lenox candlestick holders and vase!
The decor on our gift table was very simple. We found an adorable bee themed table runner and used a large Lenox vase to collect cards.
We served hors d’oeuvres and desserts (it’s not January 1st yet, so no one is on a diet, right?) We found the tableware and cupcake decorations on Amazon, then picked up the cupcake stand and flowers at local stores. Since we have an abundance of mason jars, they were the natural choice for vases and to serve iced tea in at the party.
Thanks to the combined efforts of our family and friends, the shower was a success! We had a wonderful day! 🙂
