Laundry Room Redo: The planning stages

Our laundry room is currently quite bare with a tile floor we don’t have a whole lot of love for.  Current Laundry Room

Our hope has always been to turn it into a much cheerier space, but we’ve never been quite sure how to tackle it.  We’ve done a lot of searching and shopping, and now we have several ideas, so we need help paring our options down.  We’ve created these inspiration boards to help us envision the possibilities:

#1:  Pale green walls with brown/neutral accents.

A light or pale green with brown and neutral accents?1. Bacova Blossom Rug, Sears  3. Amerock Conrad Arched Cabinet Pull, Lowes  4. Laundry Sign, Hobby Lobby  5. Murray Feiss Arabesque Flushmount Ceiling Light,  6. Honey-Can-Do ironing board cover, Sears  7. Alaterre Storage Basket,

#2:  A bright, sunny yellow with gray trim and graphic, whimsical decor:

Laundry Sign, Hobby Lobby  5. Sparrow and Soleil Paint, Benjamin Moore  6. Jonathan Adler Parker Flushmount Light, Lamps Plus  7. Fabric Container Basket, BaffinBags (Etsy)  8. Chevron Wool Rug, Pottery Barn Kids

#3:  A calming neutral color scheme:

#4:  Shades of Blue (not that we need more blue rooms in our house, but since we love it in so many other rooms, we might as well put a board together)

Shades of Blue Laundry Room1. Chenile Jute Basketweave Rug, Pottery Barn  3. Strapping Shelf Basket, Land of Nod  4. Laundry Sign, Hobby Lobby  5. Allen + Roth Aztec Flushmount Light, Lowes  6. Damask Ironing Board Cover, Pandasewingboutique (Etsy)

We’d love to hear opinions about which board you like best, or any suggestions for turning this stark room into something more cozy and enjoyable!  🙂

  1. I like #3 the best then #2. Depending on the rest of your home style. I feel like laundry needs to be calming because its such a chore lol. #3 would make you want to be in the room folding away.
